Stereophonics will make history again this summer by playing the FIRST concert at the newly built, state of the art, Cardiff City stadium, on Saturday June 5th.
“We want to make it a day to make Welsh people proud,” declares Kelly Jones. “We will be the first band to play the stadium and we love breaking in venues, even dating back to 1993, being the first band playing the Ivy Bush in Cwmaman!”

Getting There
Cardiff City Stadium is located minutes away from the centre of Cardiff and can be easily reached in a number of ways. Please note that the stadium itself has very limited parking and illegal parking in the surrounding residential and industrial areas will not be tolerated.
Park and Ride
Park and Ride facilities will be available in Cardiff City Centre and will take you from the car parking site direct to the stadium. Tickets cost £10 per vehicle and can be purchased in advance from the official ticket agents for the event. Signage on all routes into the city will direct you to the appropriate site.
Pick Up and Drop Off
Please check back for the location of the Pick Up and Drop Off point which will be confirmed nearer the time.
Taxis
The stadium is around 10 minutes drive from the city centre and will likely cost around £6. There will be taxis waiting after the event but these will be limited.
Please allow plenty of time for your journey as there may be some delays due to traffic or in loading the buses for the park and ride. You can reduce the cost of parking and help to reduce the traffic congestion by car-sharing.
